Let's Write Stories for Children

There are thousands of children ages 5-12 yrs.in the United States that are neglected and abused daily by the principle people in thier lifes. Many of these children are in foster care and have emotional needs and disabilities. These children need to learn how to cope with issues of lost, anger, abuse, and esteem. There are not enough books on the market to help teach these children on how to communicate their feelings and live with with these issues.

My Goal is to collaborate with others to write and publish books for these children

Children in Foster Care need to hear stories about fictional characters that are in dire circumstances at home but are helped to overcome obstacles in ways that children from ages 5-12 years of age are capable of understanding and perhaps do themselves. The themes as follows: How a child copes with parents that are addicted to drugs but finds away out. How to deal with domestic violence, emotional or sexual abuse.

The subjects are issues that these children have to live with. They need to be taught coping skills and be offered venues of do-able solutions. The needs can be addressed through a series story books. The books can be offered to State Social Service Offices, Professional Therapist, Social Workers, Foster Parents, Adoptive Parents and Schools.

I have many good ideals or stories in mind but I am not a professional writer. I need people to help contribute to my concepts by offering critique and writing. I will post an ideal and then with characters settings etc and you can help build on them. My goal is to get the stories published and distribute them free of charge to all of the above it will be our way of PAYING IT FORWARD
